Painting & Decorating
I do both internal and external painting and decorating, including wallpaper hanging. I will assess your needs in respect of how much preparation is required, from light to thorough, to ensure a high quality finish. Preparation might include sanding, washing down surfaces and applying decorator’s caulk to any gaps between, for example, skirting and walls. All surfaces in your home or property will be protected as necessary, with dust sheets and/or adhesive sheeting. I work quickly and efficiently, but will not apply a second coat of paint before the manufacturer’s recommended drying time to ensure a high quality and long lasting finish.
Flooring
I can fit a wide range of floor coverings, from laminates, engineered and real wood, and linoleum and vinyl floor tiles. I am happy to advise you on what is necessary to prepare your subfloor, and will secure and level it as necessary prior to installing your chosen floor covering. I can also help you with taking measurements so that you can be confident that you are ordering the correct quantities of flooring materials, including accessories.
Bathrooms
Whether you just need to replace a tap or an item of sanitary ware or want a complete refurbishment, I can assist you with a wide range of services in your bathroom. This includes installing and replacing bathroom sanitary ware including toilets, bidets, basins, baths, taps and thermostatic showers; fitting shower cubicles or walk-in enclosures; re-routing water supply and waste pipes; installing radiators and towel heaters; tiling bathroom floors and walls.
Flat-packs and fixtures and fittings
From assembling an Ikea wardrobe to changing that hard to reach light bulb, it would be difficult to provide a complete list of handyman tasks that I can carry out. Some examples are putting up floating shelves; fixing TV mounting brackets, pictures, mirrors and ornaments; installing curtain rails and blinds; installing air vents; changing light switches and power sockets; installing skirting boards; hanging doors and affixing locks and handles; and changing radiators. If your task is not included in this list, please get in touch as it may well be something that I can do.
Gardens
This is a list of some of the tasks that I can carry out for you: a one-off garden clearance; painting of sheds, fences and outhouses; installing or dismantling sheds and re-felting shed roofs; repointing brickwork and paths; installing outdoor taps; fixing brackets for hanging baskets etc; installing patio and paving; erecting new or repairing existing fencing and gates; installing decking; laying a new lawn; building wooden planters.
